Job Title: Forest Preschool Teacher 

Location: Colrain, MA (10 minutes from Greenfield or Shelburne Falls)

Schedule: Part-time & Seasonal, September-November 2026, M & T, 8:30 - 3:30

Compensation: $22/hr (we wish we could offer more, but this is the same as what we currently pay ourselves!)

We’re looking for a teacher to co-lead Sapling School next fall! You’d guide children through hands-on activities in the meadows, gardens and woods. This position is a temporary one for now, filling in for a maternity leave. However, if it feels like a good fit, we’d love to explore future collaboration as we grow our seasonal and pop-up programming! Job Responsibilities:

• Co-teach lessons for children, ages 2-5. (Facilitating circle-time and other activities like sing-a-longs, storytime, etc.)

• Share basic tasks (classroom management, guiding forest walks, cleaning, etc.)

Requirements: 

• At least 2 years of experience teaching preschool aged children. Outdoor education experience preferred. We’d welcome you to share your passions and expertise, and collaborate on our ever-evolving curriculum. 

• A solid understanding of child development.

• Comfort spending most of the day outside in all weather.

• Current First Aid and CPR certification and background check (or willingness to obtain)

• EEC Certification–preferred but not required
